JFAK is officially tapped to design the Resnick Institute at Caltech
JFAK has been awarded the commission to design the new Resnick Institute at the California Institute of Technology, a research facility that will focus on renewable energy production, harvesting, and storage. The Resnick Institute will be housed in the three-story, A. Quincy Jones-designed Jorgensen Building that occupies a prominent site on Caltech’s main campus. The building will be fully renovated into a zero-emissions scientific laboratory and administration facility. A 40,000 s.f. new addition to the building is also part of the project scope. Occupation of the renovated Jorgensen Building is scheduled for Fall 2011.
