JARZM House in dwell and Architectural Record
With a special emphasis on the ADU, dwell explores JARZM House, paying particular attention to the relationship between house and site, the interior playfulness (highlighting the yellow crane that drops the dining table from the top level down to the poolside patio), and the project’s commitment to maximizing light, air, and views on this steep hillside lot. At the same time, Architectural Record selected JARZM as one of three houses published in their newly-launched web-monthly Featured Houses. They write: “The overall form of the home, composed of hybridized curves, neither box nor blob, is just the beginning of formal play in craft.” The feature emphasizes the house’s “constant connection to trees, the hills and reservoir below, and sky.”
